If you love and respect your idols as much as you claim you do, wouldn't it only make sense to love and respect the people that they cherish in return? The examples above are only a few of the many - It's IMPOSSIBLE to overlook the love and appreciation these boys have for Zhou Mi and Henry and how happy they are to have the opportunity to perform in China.
While I can understand wanting the group to stay as the original 13 members to some degree (although I personally want and hope for Zhou Mi, Henry and future boys to be added to the group), I absolutely cannot understand nor will I tolerate the blatant abuse and manipulation of Super Junior members because they don't comply to what fans want.
There's so many degrees of disrespect and cruelty in this fandom. Editing Zhou Mi and Henry out of pictures with the other boys and out of songs that they all worked so hard on, manipulating the most kind hearted statements Super Junior members make about one another into fucked up statements as to why they're only13, overlooking and ignoring the fact that being with Zhou Mi and Henry is what some of the members want - Ignoring the fact that the original members have tight, loving bonds with Zhou Mi and Henry.
In one of SJM's first interviews, when asked about the only13 drama, Zhou Mi attempted to answer but began to tear up. Ryeowook, who sat next to him, was first fiddling with Zhou Mi's hands before leaning over and tightly hugging Zhou Mi.
Doesn't THAT say it all?
It's extremely, extremely hypocritical to claim to love Sungmin, Ryeowook, Hangeng, Kyuhyun, etc. so much then turn around and bash / harass two of their closest friends and act as if these friendships are nonexistent. I've seen this happen multiple times; Girls who claim to adore Sungmin, and yet support the protesting and boycotting of SJM just because of the two added members. This again is an example of how selfish so-called fans completely disregard the member's opinions. Such superficial love. Not liking the new members is one thing (although this dislike rarely has any true justification), but to publicly disrespect them and your 'idols' is something else entirely. It's disgusting. Those people who continue to lie and disrespect Henry and Zhou Mi for the simple fact that they're new members, and those people who continue with the only13/only5 activities and assaults even after what Ryeowook, Sungmin, Hangeng and the other members been through and have publicly said.. Those people arn't fans at all. Nor do they love Super Junior as much as they claim to.
Love does not = abuse.
It's been Hangeng's expressed dream to debut in China since his Super Junior career started. Fans have protested and asked for SJM to disband, despite the fact that Hangeng is finally achieving his dream, and with his (and I quote him) "6" friends by his side. What happened to true, genuine love and respect? What right does a bunch of selfish fans have to rob not only the possibility of more friendships and bonds from these 13 boys, but the possibility of more fame, more money and more achieved dreams and success as well? What kind of fans are you to decide who these boys may be friends with and who they can't be friends with? What kind of fan are you if you want to steal all that away from them, despite their desire for it?
No, those people arn't fans at all.
Does me supporting these two men and their friendship with the other members make me less of a fan? Do I have to expel these two entirely innocent boys to be considered a 'true fan' by the only13-ers? Apparently so, and apparently only13/only5-ers don't know the real meaning of being a fan.
only5-ers are not real, genuine Super Junior fans. Nor are the great majority of only13-ers.
In short, those who call themselves only13/only5-ers/ELF or those who support the ideas that these groups harbor, such as the deletion of Zhou Mi and Henry from pictures, the cruel twisting and manipulation of SJM news to only13-ers advantage, and boycotting the 7 member group in an attempt to keep Super Junior 13..

Although i'm an avid Super Junior fan, I will NEVER associate myself with the 'ELF' title. When ELF is the group that's known for manipulating, abusing, harassing and boycotting two of the men I look up as well as the 13 men that they superficially claim to adore. ELF is, in reality, only5 - Hence the protests and demands as a group for SJM to disband, for Zhou Mi and Henry to be booted from the group, the unison hate chants as Henry performs. They are against Zhou Mi and Henry - Not SM Entertainment. Sungmin didn't ask fans to be kind to SM Entertainment, Hangeng isn't pleading in interviews for people to accept SM Entertainment, Ryeowook isn't crying because his company is in pain.. Don't make up bullshit excuses for your irrational hatred. As i've stated time and time again, i'm fine with the only13 fans who accept and love Henry and Zhou Mi for the fact that they're part of Super Junior M, and always will be. The only13 fans who don't chant at Henry and don't protest the boy's addition to the sub-unit. However, only5-ers is a breed of anti-fan that I simply don't want to associate with.
My love for Zhou Mi and Henry is unconditional. There's no need to explain how talented, accomplished, handsome and kind-hearted they are. Those who choose to ignore the reality of their good character - It's your loss. My love for them only grows upon realizing that many of the original 13 members shares this same love and appreciation for these two new boys. Ignoring this fact doesn't change the reality.
I speak up against those who abuse Zhou Mi, Henry and the original 13 members because I hate to see their reputation and their darling personalities so shamelessly and publicly trampled on, time and time again. I love them enough to defend them when I see girls who obviously don't know the meaning of being a genuine fan. I love them and the original members enough to try to do something about this senseless cruelty. The same cruelty that has brought Ryeowook, my favorite member, to tears. And has also brought Zhou Mi and Henry to tears. I'm not proud of the fact that fans are so cruel and inconsiderate towards them - No one should be proud of it, especially not the offenders.
Regardless of who they add to the group, if the other boys support them, then i'll do so in return; For the simple fact that I have respect for these men. Hopefully the only13/only5/ELF who read this will some day discover the meaning of respect too.
As Eeteuk stated, the main Super Junior will remain only 13 members. Although I don't like the fact that Zhou Mi and Henry will not be added to the main group, I don't ignore this fact nor do I deny it. I will support Zhou Mi and Henry regardless of what sub-unit they're in, in the same way that I will support any boys added to the Super Junior family in the future.
Forever15 isn't the delusion that Super Junior is a group of 15:
Forever15 is recognizing the reality that these 15 boys love each other, and respecting these 15 boys enough to treasure those friendships in return.
